Why am I seeking re-election for Lake County Sheriff?
I'm running for re-election because the people of Lake County deserve a Sheriff's Office built on stability, accountability, and integrity — I'm committed to being exactly that kind of sheriff. I am committed to another full term to ensure goals are achieved.
When I took office in 2022, this office needed more than leadership. It needed structure. The repeated cycles of turnover and starting from scratch had created real consequences for our community: delayed improvements, eroding standards, and residents left without the consistent, professional service they deserve. I've seen that pattern, and I refuse to let it repeat.
The progress we've made together over the past four years has been significant — but the work isn't finished. Building a sheriff's office that will serve future generations requires staying the course. Policies, procedures, and a stable, skilled team don't happen overnight. They take time, commitment, and steady leadership. We're not there yet, but we're close — and now is not the time to start over.
Being Sheriff isn't about celebrating a title. It's about showing up every day and making sure the full weight of this office's responsibilities are carried out with excellence and care. That's how I approach this job, and that's how I'll continue to approach it.
I've been proud to call Lake County home for nearly a decade. I've seen the grit, determination, and genuine community spirit that define this place — and I take seriously my responsibility to protect it. The hard-working men and women of the Lake County Sheriff's Office share that commitment, and together, we've achieved real milestones worth building on.
Let's keep that momentum going. I would be honored to earn your vote in both the primary and general elections in 2026 — and I promise to keep working every day to deserve it.
